If Google Chrome no longer works in Windows 7, you will need to troubleshoot for problems in three areas: the browser, other software and your settings in Windows 7. Extensions
Extensions are useful pieces of software for performing certain tasks; however, they can become corrupted or interfere with other processes in Google Chrome. Visit each extension's home page and update it to the latest version. If the problem persists, try disabling them one at a time by clicking the Chrome menu button and selecting 'Tools.' Click 'Extensions' and de-select all Extensions or click the trash can icons next to each name. Restart Google Chrome.
If you receive the message 'Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed,' check if you have Internet Download Manager installed. If you do, update to the latest version or disable its 'Advanced browser integration' option.
User Profile
If Google Chrome crashes repeatedly, you may need a new browser user profile. A browser user profile includes information like addons, bookmarks, passwords and other browsing data from each Google Chrome user. When user profiles become corrupted, they can crash the browser.
Create a new browser user profile by exiting Google Chrome and opening a new Windows Explorer window. Enter the following in the address bar:

Locate the Default folder in the new directory window. Rename it to 'Backup default' then reopen Google Chrome.
Anti-Virus and Firewall Settings
Depending on these settings, you may not be able to open Google Chrome at all. Try turning off your firewall and anti-virus programs and restarting Google Chrome. If the browser works, create an exception in your settings to allow Google Chrome to run, then re-enable the programs. Google states that users have reported Spyware Doctor, Comodo Firewall and McAfee Enterprise may conflict with Google Chrome.
Third-Party Software
If you see the message 'Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed,' it is likely that third-party software is conflicting with Google Chrome and causing it to crash. Type 'about:conflicts' (without quotes) into the address bar at the top of Google Chrome and browse the list of software to check if you have any installed on your computer. Google suggests checking your computer for, and updating, disabling or uninstalling the following programs:

64-Bit Systems
Google Chrome has been reported to be incompatible with Windows 7 in 64-bit mode. Fortunately, you can edit Google Chrome's Properties to make it work in 64-bit by locating the Google Chrome icon on your desktop and right-clicking its icon. Click 'Properties' and select the 'Shortcut' tab. Locate the '.exe' program file in the 'Target' field. Type '–in-process-plugins' (without the quotes) immediately after 'chrome.exe.' Click 'Apply' to save your changes and 'OK' to exit. Restart Google Chrome.

If you are stuck because Google Chrome browser won’t open or launch or load web pages, then the chances are that either the Chrome files have been corrupted or some plugin is taking up a lot of resources. It may end up with a message – Google Chrome has stopped working. Surprisingly, you may also see it in the Task Manager, but there will nothing on the Taskbar. Chrome won’t open
If Google Chrome browser does not launch or start, here some ways to resolve the issue:
1] Kill Chrome from Task Manager
If Chrome won’t open, maybe its process is running the background, but you do not see the browser windows. In this case, you will have to force quit Chrome and try launching again.
2] Check if your Antivirus is blocking Chrome

Run Chrome browser’s built-in Chrome’s Malware Scanner & Cleanup Tool. It helps you remove unwanted ads, pop-ups & malware, Unusual Startup pages, toolbar, and anything else that spoils the experience by crashing websites by overloading the pages with memory request.
6] Reinstall Chrome
You can totally reset Chrome browser or reinstall Chrome again. Make sure to delete the user profile, and then install it.
